Details

We are currently in the second year of a two-year project. Interns in the program videotape their teaching four times a year, and post clips and contextualizing information onto secure, small-group Voicethread pages for response from their colleagues. We collect the videos, responses, reflections on the process, all associated documents.

Responsibilities of research assistant: attending and reporting at weekly research meetings on Tuesday mornings with the professors and graduate students, assisting in the management of electronic data and the building and maintenance of the project wiki, take part in data analysis on one or more strands of the project, and assist with reporting the results of the research.

There are opportunities here for possible co-presenting and/or co-authoring products of the research, as well as faculty mentoring in preparing a presentation for the MSU Undergraduate Research Forum in the spring. This is an ideal position for someone interested in adding research experience to a resume or graduate school application.

If interested, please send a resume and a letter of application to Dr. Samantha Caughlan and Dr. Mary Juzwik, Caughlan@msu.edu; mmjuzwik@msu.edu.
