Details

PURL is a comprehensive research program designed to turn students with little of no experience in science into effective undergraduate researchers. The program spans four years. In the first year you will participate in a seminar with the goal of answering such questions as: What is scientific research? Who does research? Do I want to do research? If the answer to the final question is 'Yes!', then you will have the opportunity to move onto the second stage of PURL: short 'lab-rotations' through different MSU laboratories to get hands-on experience of working in a laboratory. If you are still excited by research you will have the opportunity to continue your research experience by conducting independent research as a two-year, financially-supported intern in an MSU laboratory.
