Research Assistant for Technology and Sexual Development Lab

Research assistants needed to help run my sexual development lab in Human Development & Family Studies. Lots of different kinds of tasks and fun topic!

I am looking for both long-term and short-term research assistants to work in my lab-The Sex Tech Lab. Responsibilities would include website and social media management, searching for and organizing academic literature, programming web-based surveys into Qualtrics or REDCap, calling participants to arrange for interviews, transcribing interviews from audio tapes. The content of these projects include: college sexual health, sexual violence prevention, parent-child communication about sexuality and pornography, as well as adolescent social and sexual media use. If applicable, RAs will gain research experience with authorship on conference presentations, with the potential to also author on published manuscripts. Check out more information about me and the lab on my website: www.MeganMaas.com. Thanks!

Qualifications

I would accept students with a 3.0 GPA, but would give preference to a 3.5+ with emphasis on a research career. This work would be excellent for students majoring in: Human Development & Family Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Health and Risk Communication, and Women’s & Gender Studies.
