Research Summary:
Mahirs research investigates the properties of 3D printed materials made by combining flexible and rigid components. Using a technique called PolyJet, he's creating materials with gradually changing compositions. To understand how these materials behave, Mahir is examining thin slices under a microscope and analyzing the distribution of the different materials. Ultimately, he aims to find the best combination of materials to create strong, lightweight composites for use in industries like automotive, aerospace, and medicine.
