Research Poster Located in the Neighborhood Engagement Centers

Research Summary:

Daniel's research investigates the growing influence of organized groups on renewable energy projects, particularly as development speeds up to meet decarbonization targets. By creating a unique database of online support and opposition groups, based on data from the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law and the Robert Bryce Report, the study aims to enhance understanding of how these groups affect project development. This database, initially focusing on wind and solar projects in the US Midwest, will help developers and policymakers improve development processes and community outcomes. Efforts are underway to expand the database's coverage across the US.
